Codes of Conduct

While attending a Collective Sweat Detroit class, we expect that you:

are here to dance and participate in this growing community.

do not take photos or videos of class without explicit permission or consent.

respect the instructor and refrain from unnecessarily disrupting.

respect the community and refrain from distracting others during class.

take care of your own body. If you're unable to comfortably execute an exercise/movement adjust as needed (or ask for help). If you need to sit down, do so discreetly.

listen when someone says that they would prefer not to receive a touch from you, and respect their decision.

please keep cell phone use to a minimum.

arrive on time, doors will lock 5 mins after start time.

If you fail to adhere to these guidelines you will be asked to leave the premises at the discretion of Collective Sweat Detroit organizers. These guidelines are meant to create a safe space for dance/movement research and protect the community.

Additionally, please tell us if you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe so we can promptly address your concern.
