This class will be open to all levels and types of movers who wish to share the space. Students can expect to engage with positive self-care exercises, floor work exploration, and phrase work development.
[ ABOUT THE TEACHER ]
Breeann Birr de Oliveira, or BMBO, is a Detroit-based mover and creator who prioritizes investigations into ideas of collaboration, feminism, improvisation, and body positivity. Breeann currently works as a freelancer under the name BMBO Creations with a specialization in photography, graphic design, and videography for performing artists. She graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in Dance, and is currently continuing her education at WSU for her Masters in Teaching Artistry with a focus in dance. Breeann is the newest member of the Collective Sweat Detroit artistic leadership, a first year company dancer with Among Women, and is launching a brand new interview based podcast, “Dance Lives in Detroit,” that features dancers, creators, organizers, and administrators in the Detroit dance community.
